We opened Ken Westmore Realty in our current location in
1992. From the
outset our plan was to create an environment for both ourselves and our
staff that was conducive to productivity, environmentally responsible
and
pleasing to the eye.
We felt then that to use healthy living plants to break up the office in
to
workstations rather than walls and doors would be essential in achieving
our
goals. We have endeavoured to make sure that each staff member has some
lush
greenery in their immediate proximity and all of us the benefit of being
surrounded by a little forest. In our business we find that we spend
more
time in our work environment than anywhere else so to make it
comfortable
and appealing was a necessity.
We looked to Action Indoor Plants to fulfil the forest component. Our
brief
was to provide 9 x 5-6 foot bushy plants in strategic positions, today
we
have 13 of them. Constantly our clients, customers and visitors comment
on
the relaxed informal friendly ambience that exists in our office and we
attribute a great deal of this to our leafy environment.
Action Indoor Plants insisted that we leave the plants alone and leave
the
maintenance to them, which we have done from day one. Never in all these
years have we had occasion to question their reliability, conduct,
responsiveness, professionalism and more importantly their compassion
for
the lean times that businesses face from time to time. Whilst we have
had
many of their competitors approach us we have not felt the need to give
any
of them any consideration at all, such is our level of satisfaction that
we
don't even know whether we are paying market value or not, we never
bothered
to check because we feel we are getting great value for our investment
which
has been around $13,000 or $14,000 to date and that we think is cheap as
chips for the service that Action Indoor Plants has and continues to
deliver.
When you couple this with Action Indoor Plants staff that never turn up
without a smile on their dial which is testimony in itself to the
company's
management, why would we look to any other supplier. I think if we were
to
attempt to buy and maintain our own plants (which was an early
consideration) we would have spent probably 5 to 10 fold our investment
to
date.
Should further testimony be required I am available anytime.
Best Wishes,
Ken Westmore
