Workplace Well-being
This article was taken from a London
architect's survey with facility managers and office employees regarding
interior landscaping and any benefits it may afford.
Interestingly it seems that Germany is far better
informed or more receptive to the benefits of plants within the workplace.
Keenebaum (a German company like KPMG) undertook research about interior
planting.
Their findings showed that when looking for a new
job, a planted office building is the highest priority for managers.
This runs hand-in-hand with the fact that issues
like the working climate and office well-being are the most important
factors for all levels of workers when choosing a new position. It is
not surprising that 60% like to have plants on or around their desk and
interior plantscapes sit above the need for good technology that is only
rated as a priority by 50% of those questioned. This highlights the
personal needs of the workforce.
